Faith Acts
“ Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, (and) the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb 11:1)
Faith is not presumption (belief without evidence).
Faith is belief in action.
Faith is saying “ I believe You ” to the God who calls himself your Healer, your Righteousness, your Conquerer, your Peace, the One Who is there, your Provider, the Almighty One. Etc.
Faith takes this God TO situations that look impossible, with a fully persuaded mind that God is and will be to that problem.
What benefit is it to us to HAVE to have proof? Why do we need to “see to believe”? If we need visual proof to believe God, then scripture would read “ faith comes by seeing.” Rather, it reads “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17 ( This verse was written by a man who spent much of his life in prison).
When God says something about Himself, be assured, He means it. But we must believe Him, take Him at His word and but action to it.
We are not living in an Old Covenant of bringing the problem TO God any longer. We are living in a New Covenant reality where we take God TO that problem. ( Hint: the same same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in YOU. )
Stop drawing up the chair, seating our problem in it and talking to IT about all the ways it’s making us miserable, defeated and sick. IT COULD CARE LESS HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT IT. Stop telling the world how this peon of a problem is causing you to live defeated and upset and powerless. Stop telling yourself that this problem is greater than your God.
Start talking to your problem about YOUR God and watch God overwhelm, overtake and destroy that problem.
I’d rather seat my problem down, draw my sword and cut off its head because “Greater is HE that is in ME than he who is in this world.” 1 John 4:4
The greater the problem, THE GREATER MY GOD.
