Sit Down and Rest
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.” Psalm 91:1
Dwells ~ “yashab” in Hebrew = Sit down
In other words…
“He who sits down in the presence of God abides under the protection of the Most High.”
When Jesus was finished redeeming us, He sat down.
To sit is to rest.
To rest is to walk by faith.
Rest.
It is finished.
What are you wrestling with today?
Is the trouble of the world becoming distracting?
Is the political climate causing anxiety?
Has the reality of life and the trouble it brings caused your eyes to fixate on that trouble?
Has someone disappointed you for some reason?
There is NO trouble too big that resting won’t cure.
None.
“Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection too. This is why we are to yearn for all that is above, for that’s where Christ sits enthroned at the place of all power, honor, and authority!
Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm.
Your crucifixion with Christ has severed the tie to this life, and now your true life is hidden away in God in Christ.” Colossians 3:1-3 TP
You were co- crucified, co- buried and co- resurrected with Christ.
Evidence of a dead man is that a new one lives.
This world is not yours any longer. The world has nothing to offer but worry and anxiety.
Feast on Jesus and kingdom reality- that will satisfy your heart and bring you to a place of perpetual rest.
