Are you "sin-conscious"?

A “sin-conscious” Christian believes:

*God is angry, distant or disappointed with them.

*They must constantly ask for forgiveness.

*They have to make themselves holy to be acceptable.

*Their faith is not enough.

*They must hold the standard of righteousness up ( so that others can try to aim for THAT and are themselves bound to that standard).

*They are a well of sin that must be sanctified through suffering- unfortunately that well is a deep, deep well.

*They MUST be doing something wrong because when they pray they still don’t “feel” anything or “see” anything.

( This used to be me... what misery.)

A “righteous-conscious” Christian believes:

*They are not under condemnation.

*They were forgiven the moment they believed in Christ and every sin was removed ( past, present, future) as far as the east is from the west - ONCE FOR ALL.

* They were given a Holy Spirit when they received salvation ... and there is way more of that goodness available for those who ask and receive!

* The seed of faith was given to them already...( fruits of the Spirit are natural by -products of being in Christ) which means that they don’t have to have faith in THEIR OWN faith! - Faith in Jesus and HIS ability to save, heal and deliver are what’s needed.

* Jesus became sin to make THEM righteous. (2 Cor 5:21) So, no need to hold up that standard ( it’s a heavy and burdensome standard- put that thing down!!) - living righteously comes from right believing... AND Christ already measured up for us. Our starting point is His finish line.

*(Before I answer this one: Yes. We are promised suffering... but pay careful attention to what kind... *hint: you can not find a single scripture that says sickness is included in suffering- none. )

... They believe sin problem was dealt with at the cross- which means they can not only take authority over the “suffering” that’s not alllowed ( sickness, oppression and and just the ol’ devil’s scemes of killing, stealing and destroying), but they can also rest in Jesus’ love for them. ( That well of sin was shut and now they are made a fountain full of life!)

* They live in perpetual rest without a single thing to prove. They can boldly walk through the open door of heaven, straight to the throne room where their Abba Father sits and boldly ask like a “well- rounded “ and confident child who knows their Dad. ( another hint: he’s not like the God-Father, sadistic ... THAT would be a Bad father! )

This is me now!!! Just joy, beauty, life and love over abounding in my heart and mind daily!
