Plumbing Issue Resolved
The plumbing issue was resolved at LifeShare Church! A big thank you to Gallegos Plumbing (honest plumber if you need one), Jaime Flores, Taqui Quintana, Pete Thevaos, Chris Flores, Josh Lewis, and Timothy Thevaos for working hard before and after Easter Sunday to resolve this issue.
Here’s the story: Sewage Backup at LifeShare Church the Monday before Easter Sunday. Once we started using our restrooms more and added HVAC drainage, we noticed the sewage was slowly backing up. It appeared to be a longstanding problem that was fully revealed.
Rudy Gallegos located the path of the 4” PVC pipe 50’ from the building and our team started digging. We ran a roto-rooter and it was getting jammed. We called SAWS and they ran their big truck water jet system thru the sewer to clean lines, but still, we had a clogged line. We used a larger roto-rooter and we broke thru, but we still noticed mud in the line and not a clear flow. The camera locater still could not flow through, so we knew we had a collapsed or broken pipe.
Jaime brought his backhoe and dug up the pipe. We found a 4” to 6” to 8” PVC pipe run together, but never sealed. Water was leaking out while dirt was going in. The water attracted roots to grow in the line and it was a recipe for disaster.
Rudy, Roy, and Tim Gallegos (Gallegos Plumbing), who did the plumbing on our church remodel, guided us through the entire problem to a solution.
It was quite stressful before Easter Sunday, but faithful men in the church stepped up on Friday and Saturday so that I could go home, rest, and prepare my Resurrection Sunday Message. Jaime ordered Porto-potties just in case. So we used both our building restrooms and the Porto-potties.
With God’s help and faithful friends, all things are possible! If there’s a will, there’s a way!
I pray the Lord brings you to victory, as well, with the challenges you face. If He did it for us, He will do it for you. Just ask and believe and persevere.
